Sorcerer
Sorcerer armor, like that of all arcanists, is robes of cloth.
Weapon: Lens
Sorcerers channel the essence of magic. They use mystical discs to amplify their powers, striking multiple opponents in order to hold back an onslaught or defend the flanks. The side with the most capable Sorcerer often wins the battle.
Explosions and destruction, the class with the most powerful burst damage and AoE’s in the game.
This class excels at damage and pulling it off with a bang, carrying the two most destructive charge skills in game: Armageddon and Blast Ball. To top it off the sorcerer also gets the buff Contract Of Destruction to enhance their damage further!
Finally the sorcerer also is a very fluid and evasive class with the abilities dodge and blink which allow the sorcerer to kite wonderfully in all situations thrown at them, to top it off their ability Rise makes targets question if they want to really knock down this class... oh let’s not forget the wonderful trap.. Lightning Trap, this class will give people a hard time on what to do!
Last but certainly not least, which just sugar coats the entire situation: the sorcerer gets the ability Mana Shield, which helps negate damage they will get. The sorcerer is the ultimate class sporting one of the best damage dealing designs I have seen in a long time!
Pro's
The Sorcerer also has decent survivability with its Mana Barrier and Teleport Jaunt.
The real area where the Sorcerer shines is in burst damage. You can use your Burst of Celerity skill with Glyph of the Swift in order to increase your attack speed by 50% for 15 seconds. This lets you dish out huge amounts of damage during this time and no class can tank this kind of damage if they let you go unchecked.
It is great in both AoE and single-target and can attack from range. It might not have as much armor as the Ranger but its AoE damage more than makes up for that in my opinion.
Con's
The Sorcerer also has a few crowd-control effects. The Mystic is the best crowd-control class in the game, but the Sorcerer has a few spells which your group will find useful and that you will get some use out of in PvP.
Some of there spells have long cast times, making fights seems somewhat boring or frustrating.

Ten Tactics Tips for Sorcerers
- Skills like Ice Needle damage all enemies they pass through. Never waste them on a single target when you can line up two or more.
- When you're soloing, make your first shots count. Stagger your foes with area-of-effect attacks like Magma Bomb and then use Ice Needle or another spell that slows their movement. This way, you spend less time scooting and more time shooting.
- Learn to eyeball your spells' maximum ranges. Striking at maximum range buys you time free from counterattacks, especially against melee fighters.
- Mana points are life. Your spells are your sword and your shield. When you're out of mana, your sword is blunted and your shield is gone. Mana Infusion will restore you, but it's not a good combat spell. Absorb Mana is good in combat but won't fill you up. In a party, stay close to your mystic. When alone, watch that blue bar.
- Melee classes need to stay in fights to keep their mana up, but you need occasional breaks, especially when solo. Avoid drawing more than one group of foes with a misdirected spell, and keep an eye out for spots where you can hide out long enough to use Mana Infusion to recover.
- Run. Let the sword-and-boards handle melee and get yourself out of reach. Backstep away or use Time Gyre to open some distance. At higher levels, Glacial Retreat will move you back, damage your pursuers, and often slow them down as well.
- Stock up on campfires, bandages, and runes that restore health. You can't heal yourself.
- Learn the movement patterns of your enemies, just like the melee classes do. You won't have to block that big, slow attack, but you can fire a slow-charging spell like Fireblast without worrying that your target will just walk out of the way.
- You won't learn a shield spell for quite a while. If you're adventuring solo, remember dodging and first strikes. In a party, get behind the lancer. His shield will protect you, too, and you'll still be able to fire over it at the target.
- If you're being chased by a horde of rabid little kobolds or other small mobs, use your radar and maneuver in a rectangle or oval around them until they clump up. Smart mobs won't do this, but you can take down a squad of followers with a single Ice Needle if you catch them at the right moment.
